Thrice bitten, never shy? No, that’s not the saying. I respect Keith Olbermann and his rivetingly audacious declarations and diatribes, quite a lot, but why does he insist upon being a cavalier maverick of sorts? I wish he would just stick to delivering his colorfully skewed perspectives, while still taking some cues from his bosses. He’s risking a great deal by refusing to work within the confines of any of the reasonably established rules. The media and political spheres would lose a tremendously passionate and brilliant mind, with a knack for extemporaneous oration, should anything warrant his departure from Current TV and alienation by all the other networks.
